Ty Beard is the principal founder of Beard & Harris. Ty did not originally set out to create a law firm, rather he wanted to work with the most skilled lawyers he could find. Ty specializes in business and estate planning.
Don Harris is the Managing Partner of the firm, and spends much of his time running the Austin and Tyler offices. Don is a Corporate Business Counselor, and practices real estate, estate planning and probate, sports & entertainment law, special needs law, special needs trusts, and agency and management.

Sen. Bryan Hughes
Senator Bryan Hughes is serving his first term in the Texas Senate, representing the 16 counties of Senate District One in Northeast Texas. He is a member of the Committee on Appropriations and the Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence. Bryan was the first member of his family to receive a Bachelor’s degree. As a small businessman, he knows about hard work and the value of a dollar.
Carey Christie is an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas, Colorado and Missouri. Carey was admitted to practice law in Colorado in October 2002 and was admitted to practice law in Missouri in 2010. She has been authorized to appear before the Veteran’s Administration since 2013.
Cindy Karm is an Associate Attorney in the Frisco office of Beard & Harris. She focuses on regulatory compliance and corporate law but also has experience in civil litigation, multi-media environmental law, legislative affairs, and business-related immigration issues. She received a B.A. from Trinity University in San Antonio, and she earned her J.D. from SMU in 2008, where she was a member of the SMU Law Review Association.
Craig Daugherty’s practice focuses on both preventing and resolving disputes. He helps individuals and businesses prevent disputes by drafting and reviewing important documents, and advising them on critical decisions. If disputes do arise, he can help resolve them by negotiating settlements. Craig is both a certified mediator and an arbitrator. If a settlement cannot be achieved, he is a very experienced trial lawyer who has won cases in Federal and State courtrooms throughout Texas.
Kimberly Martin has twenty-five years' experience as a litigator in courts and administrative tribunals. Kimberly has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1989 and has represented clients in numerous cases including personal injury, family law, and commercial litigation. She has conducted over one-thousand administrative hearings in the field of social security disability.
Kristina M. Ross
Kristina M. Ross is an Associate Attorney in Beard & Harris’ Tyler office. She practices sport & entertainment, probate and family law. Ms. Ross is a member of the Smith County Young Lawyer’s Association, Smith County Bar Association and the Dartmouth Lawyer’s Association. Kristina practices sports & entertainment agency and management, probate litigation, divorce litigation, personal injury claims, and estate planning.
